How Rephaus uses cookies and similar technologies
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Rephaus Group Limited (“Rephaus”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on rephaus.co, the Rephaus platform and related online services (together, the “Services”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal data more generally.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device when a website is visited. They can recognise a browser, maintain a secure session, remember settings and help a service understand how it is used.
Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, scripts, tags, software development kits, device identifiers and other methods that store information on, or access information from, a device. In this policy, we use “cookies” as a convenient term for all of these technologies unless the context requires otherwise.
3. How Rephaus uses cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: to provide features you request, secure accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions, route traffic, process payments or verification, prevent fraud and remember your cookie choices.
- Preferences: to remember interface or account choices that improve the experience. Where a preference is not essential to a feature you request, we ask for consent where required.
- Analytics and performance: to understand how people use Rephaus, measure page and feature usage, diagnose problems and improve performance. These technologies are optional and require consent where applicable.
- Payments and integrations: third parties such as Stripe may use essential technologies when you choose to enter a payment, billing, onboarding or verification flow.
We do not currently use behavioural advertising or cross-site marketing cookies. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and obtain any consent required before they are activated.
4. Consent and legal basis
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may use a technology without consent where it is strictly necessary to transmit a communication or provide an online service that you request. We still explain those technologies in this policy.
For analytics, marketing and other non-essential technologies, we request a clear positive choice before activating them. Consent can be refused or withdrawn without affecting access to the core service. Where information collected through a cookie is personal data, our Privacy Policy explains the relevant UK GDPR lawful basis. Consent is normally the basis for personal data collected through optional analytics technologies.

The table below identifies the principal technologies used by the current Rephaus service. Exact names and durations can vary because of browser limits, provider configuration and product updates. We review the table when technologies change.

Google Analytics uses measurement ID G-4ZHKN6CXQW. Google may process information such as device and browser details, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, interactions and session information. Advertising storage and personalisation are disabled unless Rephaus later introduces those features and obtains the required consent.
6. Third-party providers
Some technologies are supplied by third parties. Those providers may receive technical and usage information when their service is used and may act as our processor or, for parts of their service, as an independent controller.
- Google Analytics: used for optional audience and product analytics. See policies.google.com/privacy and Google’s information about Analytics cookies.
- Stripe: used for payments, billing, Connect onboarding and account verification where applicable. Stripe may set fraud-prevention and authentication technologies during those flows. See stripe.com/privacy and stripe.com/legal/cookies-policy.
A link to an external website, social network or portfolio does not by itself place that provider’s cookies through Rephaus. If we embed third-party media or widgets in future, we will assess whether consent is required before loading them.
7. Managing your choices
When you first use Rephaus, the cookie banner allows you to accept or reject optional technologies and, where available, choose by category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings control on the website. It is as easy to withdraw consent as it is to give it.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings and clear local storage. Browser controls may not affect every technology and may reset your saved choice, causing the banner to appear again. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent secure sign-in, payments, verification or other requested features from working correctly.
8. Information used for analytics
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may receive a cookie or device identifier, IP-derived approximate location, browser and device details, referring page, page URLs, session information and interactions with Rephaus features. When you are signed in, analytics events may be associated with a pseudonymous internal user identifier so that we can understand use across an account session.
We do not intend to send your name, email address, message contents, uploaded files, payment details or profile copy to Google Analytics. Analytics reports are used to understand patterns, diagnose issues and improve the Services rather than to make significant decisions about an individual.
9. International processing
Google, Stripe and other technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law applies, we use the transfer safeguards described in our Privacy Policy and require appropriate protections from providers. Their own privacy notices explain the locations and safeguards they use for data they control.
10. Do Not Track and browser privacy signals
Some browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Standards and legal requirements continue to develop. We honour recognised signals where required and otherwise rely on the choices available through our cookie controls. Browser settings may override choices made on the website.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our Services, providers or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated version at rephaus.co/cookies and revise the “Last updated” date. If a material change affects an existing consent choice, we may ask you to choose again.
